La Santa Muerte, also called Santisima Muerte, is the modern day Mexican folk saint who is descended from Mictecacihuatl, the ancient Aztec goddess of the underworld. She not only deals with issues of death but can protect and assist in issues of life as well. She is a very powerful deity with a wide variety of powers including love, prosperity, good health, fortune, healing, safe passage, protection against witchcraft, protection against assaults, protection against gun violence, protection against violent death. This candle can be used like any other workings in spells for the above or help with enemies, money or success, justice, prosperity, cleansing, protection, love or to build a relationship with the spirit of Santa Muerte.

As with any Spirit, if you have never worked with Santa Muerte before I strongly encourage you to ask her if she would like to assist you. If she chooses to work with you and gives you a yes, she will be sure to give you a sign, it can be very subtle or something visual but be sure to wait for her answer before proceeding. She may answer by allowing you to see various objects like skulls, seeing dead animal carcasses, or anything dealing with death. She may visit you in dreams or you may pick up a book that has a skeleton, there are many ways she may communicate with you. Santa Muerte is particularly attracted to working with those who seek assistance and those who have Mexican Ancestry, but I know of many other followers with different ethnic backgrounds, that work with her well.
